Why I built Fleetscape

I grew up in Oregon, where air-powered ground cover installation got its start. I knew what good installation was supposed to look like: fast, clean, precise. When I settled on California’s Central Coast, I couldn’t find it. The only real option here was a crew with wheelbarrows, a pile of mulch dropped in your parking lot or driveway, and a week of spreading it by hand.

Air-powered installation places material through a hose that reaches 300+ feet. What a wheelbarrow crew does in a week, we do in hours. Even coverage. No piles to clean up. No damage to your property from heavy equipment. It’s better for your grounds, better for your schedule, and better for the soil and the environment. This isn’t new technology. It’s just rarely done well, and almost never to a commercial standard. That’s the gap I built Fleetscape to fill.

I’ve spent 20+ years in the technology industry, and I came away believing the best opportunities are in established, age-old industries that nobody has rethought. Ground cover installation is exactly that. There’s a better, more efficient, more mechanical way to do this work, and real room to use modern technology to make the whole experience better for the customer.

We don’t compete on being the cheapest. We compete on doing it right, faster, cleaner, and more reliably than anyone else on the coast.

So that’s what Fleetscape is built on: precision on every job, no exceptions. We obsess over our customers and our partners, because the relationship is the point, not the transaction.
